Don’t be So Proud (别那么骄傲) – Chapter 12.2

I’m still trying to work out how this novel will fit into my schedule, especially in the period when Healing Sunshine is being updated at 3x per week. I will strive my best to update Proud on Thursday evenings, N. American time (Friday if you’re over an ocean), but I cannot guarantee I will always make them. Thank you for your patience. 🙂

Really, it’s not much of a loss to say goodbye to that “friendship” with Chen Han. He Zhi Zhou has his ways of comforting Shen Xi. 🙂

Don’t be So Proud (别那么骄傲) – Chapter 12.1

Due to time constraint, I’ve to give up my beloved He Zhi Zhou for Yu Tu lol. This is my parting gift to you. Hoju will take over and probably finish the translation for this book. Actually this is our joint project but I think she did most of the work. With a heavy heart, I’ve to bid farewell to He Zhi Zhou, Shen Xi and Lin Yu Tang, the cute and funny trio. It is an interesting book and one of my favorite especially after the soul swapping part. Unfortunately the drama adaptation is a big let down for deviating too much from the novel until unrecognizable except for the name of the characters 😦 I hope you’ve enjoyed the ride with me and will continue until the end with hoju.

Don’t be So Proud (别那么骄傲) – Chapter 11.2

Hi everyone ! I am back. Did anyone miss me lol? I won’t be posting on a fixed schedule as I am very busy so don’t wait for my post on Sunday/Monday. This chapter actually feels like a filler. I find the author a bit draggy but I am not going to edit out anything out of respect for her.

Don’t be So Proud (别那么骄傲) – Chapter 11.1

Thanks for hanging out with me for the last several months. Peanuts is back, so I’ll be handing Proud back over into her capable hands. As of next week, she will be doing the updates for this translation.

It’s time for He Zhi Zhou and his sidekick to perform. Think he can successfully win over everyone in the Shen family?

Don’t be So Proud (别那么骄傲) – Chapter 10.3

I’ve gotten a few comments/inquiries over the last while but they generally fall into the same category, so I’m going to answer them all here. Most of this is a reiteration of what I have said before, so my apologies if I’m causing you to feel déjà vu.

No, this translation is not at risk for getting dropped, so fans of this one, you can breathe out in relief. 🙂 During this period when I am doing the updates for Proud, they will be posted at the same time every week, so just check back at the regular time. However, I am only subbing in on this translation for Peanuts while she is away, and while I *do* strive my very hardest to get the posts out every week, I cannot give a hard, do-or-die commitment to it. (I know I’m not promising a firm commitment, but in the last 12 weeks since I temporarily took over, I have not missed a single update, so that should give you an indication of what I mean by “strive my hardest.”) Lastly, my overall update schedule has been thought through based on what I am able—and also willing—to commit to. Thank you for the interest in this translation, and I will graciously and gratefully view that as encouragement. 🙂 However, this is ultimately Peanut’s project, and I’m here only because she and I really didn’t want to leave you guys hanging for any longer on this translation. My primary and personal project at this moment is still Black and White Film, and therefore, one update per week is what I am willing and able to do for Proud. Thank you for your understanding. ❤

Now, with housekeeping out of the way…

Shen Xi’s way of getting through exams. And plans are meant to be broken, I guess, especially by your own dad.
