This is another quite boring episode with nothing much happening except Mo Sheng and Yi Chen going on a honeymoon to Mauritius. Hence not many gifs on WC that I can fangirl 😦 Oh, why hoju always gets to recap the holiday parts when I am the one who like to go on a holiday often lol?
This is Yi Mei’s handsome hubby, not the one bongsd showed you. Does he look like a Korean? Better looking than WC lol?
I nearly burst a blood vessel in my last recap. Thank goodness this one has red bean slush (and according to Yi Chen, red bean is good for my health, right?) and lots of other sweetness…
Peanuts: Oh so envious that hoju gets to recap the HK parts. This is one of my fav city as well as WC’s fav city, lol.
Updating from what hoju told you in her last post, the young WC and TY will be shown in episodes 31 to 32 in a ‘what-if’ scenario. If you want to know how it could be done, read epilogue 3.2 . Heehee, I am right after all. Shouldn’t have listened to bongsd telling me they gonna have a special 😛 The 2 broadcasting stations in China have allocated 18 nights to broadcast My Sunshine but the drama has been trimmed to 32 episodes which means 16 nights. Hence the production company has edited a condensed version, akin to a movie to be broadcast over the last 2 nights.
After the boring episode 19, we have some live action in this episode. I’ve been telling bongsd, hoju & chewywon that those who are doing the even number episodes are the lucky one, namely me & chewywon 😛 My sympathy to hoju and bongsd for having to endure plenty of Yi Mei and Ying Hui, lol. We have an exciting as well as sad episode of the cool and calm Yi Chen losing control 😦
Update: The latest news from here says that the drama proper is actually only 32 episodes. There is going to be an episode 33-36, which is going to be a condensed form of the entire story, but it will use Wallace Chung and Tang Yan playing the young Yi Chen and Mo Sheng. Of course, China’s TV is fickle and this may change, but we will do our best to keep you informed. So, if the whole story can be condensed down into 4 episodes, is that an indication of how much the full drama is dragging? :p
Peanuts got to recap Yi Chen and Mo Sheng cycling together down a tree-lined path last episode, and I get scene after scene of Ying Hui and his eager beaver assistant this episode. 😦 I’m done reserving judgment on him and officially declare he is not my favourite character. Thank goodness for the three bosses of the law firm to give me a few laughs or I might have thrown something at my screen.
He Yi Chen versus Ying Hui. Round 1. Fight!
We have reached the halfway mark of the drama so what do you think of it? This is not a bad drama yet it is also not a great one. In my honest opinion it can not measure up to Boss & Me which is reflected in its rating. I’ve to say the saving grace is WC. He elevates this drama to above average for me. This episode is mainly on the uni’s centennial celebration and Yi Chen and Mo Sheng meeting Ying Hui. Thank you for all the comments. I do read each and every one of them but unfortunately I don’t have time to reply all of them. If I didn’t reply your comment, please write more until I respond, lol.
Is it bad if I confess that every time I see young Yi Chen leaning forward a little bit, all I can see in my mind is a turtle? And when Yi Chen and Mo Sheng go on their movie date this episode, I keep thinking “(Leo the) Turtle Adventures.” I shall blame Peanuts for that Leo/turtle comparison picture.
Everyone officially knows Mo Sheng is Mrs. He! Mo Sheng does a little scheming to get Yi Chen out on a date.
Peanuts: Park here temporary to satisfy the hungry as well as the curious 😛 Don’t get too excited, very tame only 😛
I huff and puff this recap out for you so don’t complain about the quality 😛 At least I’ve included plenty of pretty pictures and gifs. After recapping 4 episodes continuously, I am exhausted and need a short break so Hoju will recap the next 2 episodes. This episode follows the novel quite closely and has a fair bit on WC so I am happy as a lark 🙂 It also has one of the classic scene in the novel where Mo Sheng is counting the grids on the ground until nine hundred and ninety-nine while waiting for Yi Chen.
This is one of my favourite episode because plenty of WC from beginning to end, haha……For those who did not read the novel, such a shock for them to get married, right after that heart breaking confrontation. Then such an anti-climax for Yi Chen to leave for a business trip. Luckily got that cute conversation at the end of the episode.
