I seriously still ship ZX with Watermelon even if I reread this story 4 times already. Why? I love him for our fl because he played the biggest role in helping our fl to be matured. Sure, his ways in making Watermelon matured are a bit harsh but everything he says are well points taken.
I also love his decency not to jump into having intimate relationship with Watermelon because if we put our shoes into fl’s parents’ viewpoint, who would want their lovely children to end up with some poor guy? Hep, please do not judge me in this part. I do not despise poor since I’m also poor. But we all know that deep inside our hearts, we want our children to end up with someone with financial stability, right? Because it will make us at ease that the guy can be depended on by our child. So I salute ZX for thinking that way and planning to get rich first before asking our beloved fl’s hand for marriage.
As for LYS, I think he best resembles the guy Watermelon wants ZX to be especially when she longed to have a warm relationship with him since their college years. LYS can also be the guy best friend I’m sure every ladies out here wants to have!

They are so off the wall cute! So many funny moments, like the one where he choked when she said she was so interested in him at that time because she was bored. Sizzling chemistry these two and how happy she is with me – so glaringly different than her interactions with Zhuan Xu that are so confused and misleading.
The difference is even more obvious when reading the section about Little Nie’s texts to Zhuan Xu that were mostly unanswered. I cannot even imagine how you must feel to apologize about having feelings to the person you like… And not receiving any response at all? So cold. Honestly, Zhuan Xu really needs to get over his inferiority complex for his own sake.
